Rusty & Twinkle

Meet Rusty & Twinkle (or Twinx as we call like to call him).

It is very often the case, due to the longevity of a horse or pony’s lifespan, that they need rescuing several times during their lives. This was the case for these two little chaps.

Both were given a reprive from the ‘meat lorry’ early on in their lives - then both were extracted from cruelty and neglect situations with prosecutions involved.

They then became the innocent victims of a wrangle during the sale of the field where they were kept. They were  found standing in the corner of a ploughed-up mud field with just hours before their final disposal.

Fortunately, the Flicka Foundation stepped in and they are now safe, enjoying the company of others and regular meals. As you can see from the picture, Twinx is rather on the thin side - so he is on a strict feeding regime.

Despite everything, they are two very loveable little ponies. It's a privilege to have them here.
