Bilbo Update - July 2007

As of today (1st July ‘07) we are 58 days into Bilbo’s treatment for his condition. Once he reaches 90 days of treatment, his chances of a successful recovery increase a great deal. Click here for more information...

Bilbo Update - June 2007

Following extensive tests and x-rays, we have discovered that laminitis has caused the pedal bones in Bilbo’s feet to sink as low as they can go. As a result, he will lose all four hooves. The hope now is that the ‘dead’ hooves, although detached from the sensitive laminae of the foot, stay on for as long as possible (three months at least). This should allow the new growth to start developing underneath. The new hooves will need to grow a sole strong enough for weight bearing for Bilbo to make a successful recovery.

Fundraising Event - Sponsored Abseil, 8th July 2007

On 8th July 2007, around 25 staff and supporters will be abseiling down a cliff at Lusty Glaze, Newquay, to raise money for the Flicka Foundation. If you would like to sponsor us, or even find some sponsors and join in, contact us to find out how you can help.

Fundraising Event - Friday 28th September 2007

There will be a Flicka Party and Auction at the Hannafore Point Hotel, who have donated a function room for the evening. There will be lots of lots(!) for you to bid on, including many unusual and very desirable items. There will also be food and fun!! Fundraising Concert - June 2007 (date and venue to be confirmed)

The ever-popular traditional folk trio ‘Bedham Bess' will be putting on a fundraising concert for the Flicka Foundation. This promises to be a great family evening, so look out for more details soon!

Fundraising Concert - 15 December 2006
