Lettie

Lettie’s (Aletta) story was a tough one. Although full to bursting, we sympathised with Julie, Lettie’s owner, and her situation. Julie was due to emigrate to Australia in July and had to postpone because of Lettie. She took with her three ponies and two cats, however vets and the transport company were concerned about Lettie’s age; 33…..not just for the flight, but understandably, the climate change in Australia. So Julie was faced with an emotional dilemma. After she visited us here at Flicka, she said unless we could take her she would not fly out, as there was nowhere else she could take Lettie. What could we say? So here she is….no trouble at all and bonded with Nonny immediately (pictured below). Lettie is on our adoption list and Julie also contributes to her keep as she is on quite a lot of supplements for an ‘aged’ lady!
