Holly

Holly had been incarcerated in the back of an enclosed lorry – we don’t know for how long. Her ‘owner’ was intending to take her to have her shot, but hadn’t got round to it!! We intercepted her journey and gave her a home – she could barely walk when she came off the lorry – she was thin and very weak, and if you look at the ‘before’ picture (left) we were horrified to learn that despite her state she was just weeks off giving birth!!

We feared for Holly’s survival and that of her unborn foal.

Happily mother and son were absolutely fine – and we found ourselves the owner of a very handsome chap - ’Leo’ – pictured later!!
